van
Dijk Pace Westlake Architects was selected by the school, a K-12
girls day school, to implement the first phase of development of
a 139 acre wooded site. The initial project scope consists of athletic
fields, access road and bridge, parking and a building that houses
locker rooms and other athletic support spaces. In addition, several
field stations for on-site academic study are located throughout
the forest.
The school is committed
to preserving the natural ecosystems of the site and by doing so,
instilling a sense of land stewardship within the student body.
The site plan preserves the mature forest growth and minimizes the
clearing of trees.
