Cancer
Center

This project
involves two building components: the first being a free-standing,
two-story addition to an existing hospital facility which houses both
radiation therapy and chemotherapy treatment programs, and a one-story
pavilion to magnetic resonance imaging. The ground floor level of
the cancer center houses the radiation therapy spaces in a total of
12,000 sq. ft. with one Linear Accelerator, a shelled vault for a
future accelerator, and all ancillary staff and patient support functions.
The first floor is a 10,000 sq. ft. Chemotherapy Suite with thirteen
patient treatment positions, exam rooms, staff support spaces, and
central reception. |

|
|
Unique features include
a two story skylight atrium in the reception/waiting spaces, shelled
vaults for a future accelerator, and an overall design which allows
for both horizontal and vertical building expansion. |
